Education
and Standards
The ICM was set up specifically to "Set standards in the prevention
and management of aggression and conflict in the workplace".
Membership Every member of the ICM must adhere to the principles set out in our Code
of Practice (parts I & II). Members can be held to account if
their training is shown to fall significantly outside of these parameters
through the ICM Disciplinary Procedure.
Quality Award
Scheme The
ICM has created the Quality Award Scheme which is open to everybody
who provides training in conflict management. The scheme aims to
recognise and promote the highest standards in training.
National
Occupational Standards Progress is being made with the review of standards. Access the notes from the previous meeting
here. A further meeting was held in October 2006 and the notes for this will be circulated soon. See who is on the steering committee
here.
